ONE KILLED, 17 INJURED IN BUS ACCIDENT
Kathmandu, 12 July: One person was killed and at least 17  were injured
in a buc accident Friday at  Pumdibhumdi VDC on Siddhartha highway.
The bus going to Syangja from Pokhara overturned.

BUDDHA RELIC ON DISPLAY
Kathmandu, 12 July: The relic of Lord Gautam Buddha (bodily remains) has been kept on display at the Boudha Guru Lhakhang Gumba in the premises of Boudha stupa. Advisor of the Ghyang Guthi, Tika Sherpa said the relic which was provided to the Gumba on June 29 by the Sri Lankan Temple of Truth will be kept on display till Sunday from today, RSS reports..

Some 10-12 thousand visitors daily were present to see the relic put on display after going round the stupa along with incantation of mantras by religious leaders. It will be kept for three days from 8:00 to 12:00 noon and some 80,000 visitors are expected to see it.

Earlier, the relic was kept at Anandakuti Bihar at Swoyamabhu and only could be observed on Buddha Jayanti Day and commoners had less opportunity to see, therefore, it will be kept for display four times a year.

The remains are the part of the body of Buddha after being burnt in fire. It can be seen in Swoyambhu and Boudha in Nepal so far.

YARSCHAGUMBA GENERATES MONEY IN MUGU

Kathmandu, 12 July: People from Mugu district have collected tens of
millions of rupees by collecting Yarchagumba this year, RSS reports from Mugu..

The Mugu people collected more Yarchagumba as compared to the past, said Sher Bahadur Budha, a leading villager from Rowa VDC, Mugu.

He said it was sold at Rs 500-1000 per piece as per its size.

Most of the families in Mugu district earn up to Rs. 150,000 and thousands of people are involved in this business during the 15 days period in this season, said Budha.

Chhapakhola, Rimang, Sano Koili, Dolphu Patan, and Mugu Patan among other places in Mugu and Dolphu VDCs are considered to be rich for Yarchagumba collection in the district.
