UML LEADER MADHAV KUMAR NEPAL MEETS PRESIDENT
BEFORE EMBARKING ON INDIA VISIT
Kathmandu, 23 July: Senior leader of the CPN-UML, Madhav Kumar Nepal, called on President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav at the Office of the Presidet, Sheetal Niwas, on Tuesday morning, RSS reports.

During the meeting, Nepal shared with the President about his visit to India starting July 24.

On the occasion, President Yadav suggested that major political parties should take initiative to create environment conducive to the CA election and to discourage anti-election activities, said Nepal quoting the President.

Former Prime Minister Nepal, is visiting India from tomorrow at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh.

During the five-day India visit, Nepal is scheduled to meet some senior Indian leaders and address a special programme of Nalanda University.

He will be accompanied by former Deputy Prime Minister and UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel and Foreign Affairs expert Rajan Bhattarai.

BAIDHAYA URGES COOPERATION

Kathmandu, 23 July: Chairman of the CPN-Maoist, Mohan Baidhya, has reiterated that there could also be collaboration with the former King, who carry true feelings of nationalism, RSS reports from Nuwakot,

He also said that there was no alternative to the formation of a greater front on this issue. At a press conference organised by the party at Bidur on Tuesday, he clarified that there would be partnership with any one on the issue of nationalism.

Stating that it was positive of the government to send an invitation for talks, Baidhya said that they would sit for talks only after the government makes it clear that the talks will be held without any condition.

The team comprising Baidhya and General Secretary, Ram Bahadur Thapa, imparted training to party cadres at Bidur.
