SMASHING BALLOT BOX ILLEGAL SAY ELECTION COMMISSION

Kathmandu, 29 July: In a belated reaction, election commission Sunday said its attention has been drawn by the smashing of a ballot box last box by CPN Maoist

General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa at open air theatre in a symbolic gesture opposing the November assembly election.

The commission called the public demonstration illegal and asked the party to observe an election code of conduct.

A Rs,100,000 can be imposed for such acts.

The party has not registered for the vote
