JANAKPUR CIGARETTE FACTORY TO BE CLOSED DOWN

Kathmandu, 4 July: Government has decided to legally retire all

labourers and officials of the Janakpur Cigarette Factory.

Government will have to pay severance fees to the workers and labourers who haven’t been paid for years.

The factory was gifted by the former Soviet Union..

Another once profitable state enterprise gifted by a friendly government has

been closed down die to overstaffing and political interference.
