UPDATE HLPM MEET DECISIONS

Kathmandu, 13 July: A meeting of the HLPM Saturday didn’t set a date for a

roundtable conference demanded by CPN Maoist,

It welcomed a CPN Maoist decision to form a negotiating team for

discussions as positive

CPN Maoist has decided to talk with concerned agencies and 33 parties

with which it was aligned., .

The body of four parties was unhappy with the government of Khil

Raj Regmi nd warned it not to take decisions having long-term impact and

asked it not to concentrate on holding elections.

The parties decided to ask government an election commission to push

preparations for the 19 November second assembly elections.

BUDGET ANNOUNCEMENT SUNDAY

Kathmandu, 13 July: Finance Minister Shanker Koirala will present the annouanl budget for fiscal year 2013.14 Sunday.

For the first time and in the absence of parliament a complete budget for the whole year is being presented by a government of retired civil servants headed by a

chief justice.

UPDATE SUSHIL KOIRALA

Kathmandu, 13 July: NC President Sushil Koirala said on arrival from USA thre’s no alternative to the 19 November assembly elections.

He added the vote can’t be rescheduled.

He chastised former Chief Election Commissioner Bhoj Raj Pokhrel

for suggesting last week the November election my not be held within the

deadline.

Koirala the statement was ’irresponsible’.

NO AGREEMENT TO RESCHEDULE NOV.ELECTIONS SAYS

MAOIST SPOKESMAN AGNI SAPKOTA

Kathmandu, 13 July: Maoist Spokesman Agni Sapkotaa Saturday said the 19 November election wont be rescheduled.

‘There’s no reason to reschedule the vote,” Sapkota said.

He dismissed reports there was agreement toi reschedule the vote.
