HLPM MJFN TALKS INCONCLUSIVE

Kathmandu, 22 July: The four=party HLPM held talks with MJFN Chairman Upendra Yadav Monday in the capital.

The talks were inconclusive and another round of discussions will be held at an unspecified date.

The terai party is opposed to the 19 November elections.

ONE KILLED IN LAND DISPUTE

Kathmandu, 22 July:: One person died Sunday at Buldihawa, Pipara VDC- 1 in Kapilbastu District when two groups clashed over land dispute, RSS reports from Kapilvasthu..

Baidul Rahaman, 40, died in the clash that ensued after dispute on land border. Injured Sadarul Hussein and Mahamoud Ayub have been undergoing treatment at Universal Medical College in Bhairahawa. Both are out of danger, said DSP Mahendra Khadka.

The groups resorted to stone pelting and hitting with logs and Baidul died on the spot. On Baidul side were Abdul Rashid, Javed Rahaman and on the other were, Akbar Hussein, Mohammad Ayub, Sheratun Nisha, Sadarul and other families.

Police have arrested Hamad Hussein, Sheratun Nisha, Nurul Hassan and Rahaman and some members of Akbar´s family are at large.
