According to the Area Police Office, Basantapur, the wild elephant that came from nearby jungle destroyed houses of Nareshwor BK and Raju BK of Ameliya at Gardi VDC at 1 am.
Property worth around Rs. 50,000 was destroyed in the incident, said locals.Madi dwellers have been harassed from wild animal terror for long.

MASS DESERTION FROM RPP
Jathmandu, 30 July As many as 54 leaders and cadres of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party , Syangja , have quit their general membership of the party, RSS reports from Syangjhaa..
Issuing a press release, they announced of deserting the party saying policy and programmes adopted by the Party Central Convention have been made individualistic.
The press release stated that the decision was made after organizing a gathering of leaders of the three constituencies of the district and the chiefs and members of sister organisations.
The gathering took a decision to this effect and formed a taskforce under the coordination of General Convention representative Rambandhu Regmi in order to remain independent for now, stated the press release issued by Coordinator Regmi. RSS
