MOHAN BAIDHAYA REJECTS TALKS WITH PRE-CONDITIONS

Kathmandu, 21 July: CPN Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidhaya said

Sunday an election conducted by the Khil Raj Regmi government won’t

give the country an outlet.

He said in Birgunj the non-party government should be replaced.

Baidhaya said the invitation from government and four parties was positive

but had streaks of pre-conditions that were unacceptable.

PRESIDENT HOLDS TALKS WITH ELECTION OFFICIALS

Kathmandu,21 July:  President Dr Ram Baran Yadav held  discussions with Chief Election Commissioner Neelkantha Uprety and commissioners Sunday.

Election officials briefed the president on preparations for the November vote.

The head of state asked election officials to be cautious sin their public comments relating to the vote.
