REGISTRATION CHALLENGED IN COURT

Kathmandu, 11 July: A last minute decision of the election commission’
to register voters for the 19 November election without presenting citizenship xertificates has been challenged at the supreme court Wednesday.
Monday is the last date for registering.
Presentation of such certificates was mandatory previously.
Advocate Purna Chandra Poudel challenged the commission decision.

TURKISH AIRLINES TO BEGIN DIRECT NEPAL,TURKEY
FLIGHTS 1 SEPTEMBER
Kathmandu, 11 July: Turkish Airlines to operate directs flight between Kathmandu and  Istanbul from 1 September.
The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has issued flight
operation authorization to the state airline, an official said.
