BIJUKCHHE SAYS INDIA WANTS TO DIVIDE NEPAL
Kathmandu, 10 Aug.:Chairman of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) Narayan Man Bijukchhe has accused India of trying to divide Nepal by
making ethnic states, RSS reports from Bhaktapur. .
Inaugurating the fourth national convention of the Institutionalised Schools Association Nepal (ISAN), in Bhaktapur on Saturday, he said that the country has been falling in the grand designs of India .
Accusing the Nepalese leaders of being pro- India n, he said the present government and the four-party mechanism were foreign stooges. "The government and four-party mechanism are India n stooges and the party leaders are making rounds of New Delhi", he said.
Bijukchhe claimed that India n National Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi's remarks that Nepal should have restructuring of the state on the basis of capacity and resource was interference in Nepal's internal affairs.
He also accused India of funding parties in power.
Bijukchhe also said NWPP was a small because it never played sycophant of the foreigners. He said India n intelligence department gave money to Nepali Congress through Subarna Shumsher in the past and now UCPN (Maoist) was its Trojan horse.
On the occasion, Bijukchhe said the compulsory and free education of Nepal was a fake slogan, adding, in compulsory and free education, students should have free food and hostel facilities. He also demanded foreign universities not be given entry into the country saying that they would bring imperialism. RSS

NEPAL TO MEET DEVELOPMENT TARGETS

Kathmandu, 10 Aug.: Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission (NPC) Dr Rabindra Kumar Shakya has said that the aspects of social development carried out in Nepal have achieved the target of the Millennium Development Goals
(MDGs), RSS reports.

Inaugurating the fifth annual general meeting of the Nepal Bottle Water Industry Association in the capital on Saturday, Shakya claimed that 83 per cent people, against the target of 73 per cent, in the country have access to pure drinking water.

He said that in the sector of sanitation also nine percent more than the target has been achieved. He said 62 per cent people have the access to sanitation adding that the country could leap forward in development provided that political stability was maintained.

He said Rs 1600 billion would be spent in the approach paper on 13th plan and maximum investment would be made in the basic needs of the people.
Shakya said access to pure drinking water would be provided to 8 per cent more people in the three-year plan.
