NEPSE PULLED DOWN MONDAY

Kathmandu, 19 Aug.: Nepse was pilled down to 538.75 points Monday soon after market opened for trading.
Nepse lost 1.72 points.

GOVT. ESTIMATED PADDY PRODUCTION WILL INCREASE
10 PERCENT THIS YEAR

Kathmandu, 19 Aug.: Government estimates paddy production this
year is will increase 10 percent, according to the agriculture ministry.
Ninety=three percent paddy transplantation  this year was completed
Friday when in the same period only 64 percent land was covered by paddy crop last year.
But more than 10 percent farmland in Mohottari, Dhanusha, Sarlahi, Siraha and Saptari is still fallow.

BANDH HITS JHAPA

Kathmandu, 19 Aug.:: Normal life in the district is hit hard due to the banda enforced by Federal Republican National Front since the early morning on
Monday, RSS reports from Bhadrapir..

All the vehicles have stayed off the road and passengers are hit hard due to this.

Schools and colleges in the district are also closed due to the banda. The front has enforced the shutdown to press for the fulfillment of their 16 points demands.
