Affairs Giles Thompson, held talks with Nepali Congress Acting President
Ram Chandra Poudel this morning.m RSS reports.
At the meeting held at the Poudel residence at Bohoratar in Kathmandu, they held talks on the latest political situation of Nepal, ongoing talks among political parties and international cooperation for election, said Poudel´s aide Chiranjivi Adhikari. On the occasion, Director Thompson enquired about the election preparations for Constituent Assembly (CA) and the progress made on talks among parties for ensuring participation of all parties in election. The election should be held in time, and for that, the international community is ready to cooperate, Poudel quoted him as saying. Poudel also informed him that talks process was intensified with dissenting parties to hold election on November 19 and expressed the belief that the talks will be fruitful. Also present during the talks were British ambassador to Nepal Andrew James Sparkes, said Adhikari. |

POLITICAL PROBLEMS WILL BE SLOVED SAYS

Aug,: Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF)-Democratic, Bijay
Kumar Gachchhadar, has expressed the belief that the existing political
problems of the country would be resolved within a week, RSS reports..
Talking briefly to media persons at Biratnagar Airport today, Gachchhadar claimed that the election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) would be held on the stipulate date on November 19 as discussions with the dissenting parties were underway. He said the dissenting parties including the CPN-Maoist, the Federal Socialist Party, among others, would participate in the CA election as the High-Level Political Committee has been holding talks with their leaders including Mohan Baidya, Ashok Rai and Upendra Yadav. Stating that the HLPC was formed to resolve the political problems of the country, Gachchhadar stressed that no one should fear to face the election. The MJF-Democratic Chairman said that there was a possibility of re-updating of voters´ list for the election, and claimed that the number of seats towards proportional would be increased after the report of the Constituency Delineation Commission. |
