Maoists predict international observers will invalidate elections

By Bhola B Rana

Kathmandu, 3 April: Maoists, including Chairman Prachanda, predict international monitors will invalidate the 10 April constituent assembly elections they predict will be swept by them.
‘Have they come here to enjoy themselves and see a drama?” Prachanda told the last party rally in the capital Wednesday saying unprecedented number of observers were being to watch elections in a small country. “Only observers selected by big countries are reportedly coming.”
Prachanda said they will endorse is Maoists lose and charge Maoists rigged the vote if CPN (Maoist) is victorious; they won’t speak until results are out two weeks after the vote, he said.
“Shouldn’t there be a revolt?” he asked.
Analysts said there’s possibility of rescheduling elections or invalidating the result if Maoists win, Mahima, a weekly close to Maoists said.
Observers haven’t spoken a work on the deaths of Maoists during electioneering and have started alleging YCL have disturbed campaigning.
Foreign election observers are unanimously criticizing Maoists.
They will validate the vote if it goes against Maoists and say it was rigged it Maoists win.
