67 CDOs transferred

Kathmandu, 20 Oct: In sweeping administrative changes, government has transferred 67 chief district officers (CDOs).
Altogether 102 officials were transferred Sunday by the home ministry.
Dhruba Prasad Sharma has been nominated Kathmandu CDO; the Valley has new CDOs in all three districts. .
Government transfers come immediately after shifts of senior officials in the judiciary. Nnnn

YCL activist dies in clash with CPN-UML Youth Force

Kathmandu, 20 Oct: Krishna Bahadur Bhandari, a YCL activist, died Sunday in a clash with CPN-UML Youth Force in Dhading.
Bhandari drowned in Trisuli river while fleeing pursuers.
Clashes between Youth Force and YCL erupted Saturday as rival offices were damaged.
A night curfew imposed after the clash was lifted Monday morning.

PM Prachanda visiting India again

Kathmandu, 20 Oct: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is heading a Nepalese delegation at a summit meet on BIMSTEK in New Delhi from 11 to 13 November, Annapurna Post reports.
The premier has been invited to attend the Hindusthan Leadership Summit being organized by The Hindusthan Times.
The India visit will be Prachanda’s second.
