Details on shooting of PM’s personal secretary

Kathmandu, 9 Feb; Prime Minister’s personal secretary Shakti Bahadur Basnet was hit in the leg by nearly one bullets fired at him by an assailant.
He’s out of danger, a hospital where he is being treated said Monday.
Basnet is also central committee member of the Unified CPN (Maoist).
Basnet was attacked as he was entering his home after returning from Panchthar, east Nepal, with Prime Minister Prachanda.
Prachanda visited him at hospital.

World’s crooks trying to finish Maoists: PM Prachanda

Kathmandu, 9 Feb: ‘Phatas’ [crooks] from all over the world are trying to finish off Maoists with the connivance of Nepal Army, PM Prachanda told a rally in east Nepal Monday.
He charged of a ‘deep conspiracy’ to incite Nepal Army to start a civil war in Nepal and finish Maoists, radio reports said.
He charged main opposition Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala to attempting to derail the peace process.
