Anti-Maoist struggle
Kathmandu, 2 July: A committee representing victims of Maoist atrocities Thursday presented a memorandum to Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal with demands, including resettlement.
The committee it will launch a movement if demands aren’t met within 15 days.

Ramraja Prasad Singh hospitalized
Kathmandu, 2 July: Republican leader Ramraja Prasad Singh has been hospitalized at a hospital in the capital.
Doctors are conducting preliminary investigation.
Fear at rising level of the Kosi river
Katmandu, 2 July: With the rising level of Kosi river following incessant rain in the eastern region in the last five days has spread has spread in Sunsari and adjoining areas the embankment may burst this year as well.
An alert has been sounded.
Widespread damage was caused last year and many lives were lost when the river changed source following an embankment burst.
