Only police, armed police security for Parmananda Jha (Developing Story)

Kathmandu, 4 Sept: The government Friday only gave and continued Nepal Police and Armed Police Force security for Vice-President Parmananda Jha who refused last Sunday to take an oath as directed by government and supreme court.
Military security was withdrawn and the national flag was lowered at his house.

Nurses suspend strike temporarily

Kathmandy, 4 Sept: Striking nurses Friday suspended their three-day strike until Sunday after a ministerial-level government talks team sat down for talks with representatives of Nepal Nursing Association.
There was temporary on 10 demands.
The main demand of 26,000 nurses was the reinstatement of a suspended the nurse registrar amid charges of politicization of the health sector.
Talks will resume Sunday to meet all demands.
The banned strike had disrupted health services at hospitals.

CPN-UML steering committee endorsed lower committee decision

Kathmandu, 4 Sept: Powerful CPN-UM: Friday steering committee Friday endorsed a lower committee decision to dissolve the Kathmandu district committee dominated by KP Sharma Oli.
The committee urged internal party discipline and asked opposing sides to end differences and not to arr differences in the public. The issue, the steering committee, said can be discussed in the party committees.
Oli has charged Chairman for dictatorial tendencies charging Jhalanath Khanal for dissolving an elected body while Khanal charged Oli for indiscipline without naming the chairman.
Khanal is opposed to supports Maoists supported by Khanal.
