Girija flies to Singapore for treatment

Kathmandu, 14 Nov: Five-time prime minister and President of Nepali Congress Girija Prasad Koirala, 86, flew for Singapore Saturday for treatment of a chronic lung ailment.
He flew there by special air ambulance.

15 swine flu cases recorded in Pokhara

Kathmandu, 14 Nov: Fifteen swine flu cases have been recorded in the resort town of Pokhara, health officials have said.
The cases were reported with the onset of winter and the peak tourist season.
Contagious swine flu was first recorded in the capital.
It was then detected in Chitwan and Parbat in the west.
More than 80 cases have now been reported in Nepal.

Fresh Maoist ultimatum

Kathmandu, 14 Nov: Maoists have given government a fresh ultimatum to meet their demands by 20 November.
The ultimatum was issued at the end of a two-day seize of Singha Durbar Friday.
They have issued threats of fresh protests if demands aren’t met by then.
