More than one dozen persons were injured.
The bus fell 300 meters off a mountain highway killing the passengers.
The death toll could rise.

Prachanda denies links with Naxalites

Kathmandu, 7 Nov: Chairman Prachanda denied Sunday Nepal’s Maoist have relations with Indian counterparts.
The Maoist chairman denied the link to reporters in central terai.
The denial comes one day after Indian Home Secretary G.K. Pillai said Indian and Nepali Maoists ‘were in touch with each other”.
Pillai also said in the capital Saturday,” I do not think Nepali Maoists are importing arms from India or vice-versa. And I do not think it is a crucial issue either.”

Congress proposes presidential rule, dismissal of CA

Kathmandu, 7 Nov: CPN-UML leader Ashok Rai revealed Saturday coalition partner Nepali Congress has proposed to the party the dissolution of the constituent assembly (CA) and enforcement of presidential rule.
The disclosure comes at a time when several human rights workers also suggested enforcement of presidential rule to end a five-month political impasse as a Maoist second phase anti-government protests entered the second week Sunday.
“In talks with us Nepali Congress said the new constitution shouldn’t be drafted and the constituent assembly should be dissolved. Discussions centered around the formation of a commission to draft the constitution,” Rai said in the capital Saturday.
“Some powers have designs to destroy the country. It’s not for nothing that Limbuwan, Khumbuwan and Madesh movements have been launched.” He said.
Nepali Congress Vice-chairman Ram Chandra Paudel denied Rai’s claim.
‘Congress hasn’t contemplated the dissolution of the CA. Congress was never in favour of presidential rule,” Paudel said. ‘The claim is totally false. Congress cannot be a victim of groupism in CPM-UML.”

Maoists boycott special committee meet

Kathmandu, 7 Nov: Maoists Sunday for the second time boycotted a meeting of the special committee on supervision, management and rehabilitation of Maoist combatants headed by Prime Minister Madhab Kumar Nepal.
The meeting is held every Sunday
The boycott comes at a time Maoists have launched the second phase of their anti-government protests.
The boycott will delay the integration of rehabilitation and integration of Maoist combatants in Nepal Army and the phasing out of 4,000 disqualified combatants from camps.

Outlet only after discussions with India: Maoists

Kathmandu, 7 Nov: Maoists have concluded an outlet to the internal political impasse can come only after decisive talks with neighboburing India, Rajdhani reports.
A top Maoist source revealed message has been sent by the leadership to New Delhi through contacts and the Indian embassy here.
Chairman Prachanda will visit India after CPN-UML Chairman Prachanda returns from India.
There’s possibility Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal’s proposed China could be affected with the proposed visit and the possibility of a new political structure.
Dates for Prachanda and Nepal visit haven’t been finalized yet.
“Date of the India visit hasn’t been finalized,” Maoist leader Agni Prasad Sapkota told Rajdhani. ‘The visit will come at an appropriate time.”
