Strike called off

Kathmandu, 5 Nov: Three-wheeler entrepreneurs called off a threatened strike in the Valley Thursday.
The strike was called off after the supreme court stay order to government not phase off three-wheelers.

NRB under fire

Kathmandu, 5 Nov: A probe team has blamed Nepal Rashtra Bank (BRB) for the severe shortage of currency notes during dasain.
The probe report prepared by a team headed by Dr Mangal Siddhi Manandhar, submitted the report to Finance Minister Surendra Pandey Wednesday.
“NRB managerial flaw is the min reason behind the note shortage, The Kathmandu Post quotes Manandhar as saying.
“Communication between the employees related to note management and NRB’s top management was found to be weak. We’ve found carelessness among all of them.
“We didn’t find it intentional.” Manandhar said.
