Dates for Congress conventions announced

Kathmandu, 17 June: Ahead of its 12th general convention slated for the end of August, ruling Nepali Congress central committee Thursday decided to conduct village, municipal, regional and district general conventions in three phases.
Village and municipal conventions will be held 23 June.
Regional conventions will be held 29 June while district conventions will be conducted 1 July.
The party general convention will elect a new leadership following the death of President Girija Prasad Koirala.
