CABINET TO APPROVE BUDGET (FURTHER DETAILS)

Kathmandu, 19 Nov.: Cabinet meets Friday morning to give its approval to the budget being presented for the last eight month of the current fiscal year.
Finance Minister Surendra Pandey is presenting a Rs 335 billion budget at three in the afternoon.

NA CONSTUCTING HEALTH INSTITUTE

Kathmandu, 19 Nov.: Army Chief Gen Chatraman Singh Gurung Thursday laid the foundation stone of Nepal Army (A) Institute of Health Sciences at Bhadrakali in the capital’s outskirts in the capital.
The Institute is being funded by Army Welfare Fund.
Four four-storied blocks at being built to accommodate 100 students from next year.
Medicine, nursing, dental and surgery, and medical polytechnics are being opened.

NEPALI WITH INDIAN FARE CURRENCY NOTES ARRESTED

Kathmandu, 19 Nov.: Rajesh Sahani of Birgunj has been arrested
with fake Indian counterfeit currency notes in Rs 1,000 and Rs 500
denominations.
He was presented before the media Thursday by Parsa district
police office.
Sahani was arrested with fake currency worth Rs 275,000.
He has implicated Indian national identified only as Dhirendra admitting fakenotes were supplied across the border.

11 COMMERCIAL BANKS,FINANCIAL INSTUTITIONS TO FUND HYDROPOWER PROJECT

Kathmandu, 19 Nov. :A consortium of 11 commercial banks and financial institutions led by Laxmi Bank will fund the 15.5MW Mai Hydropower project in Ilam.
A deal to launch the Rs 2.7 billion project of Sanima Hydropower Prohect was signed Thursday.
Laxmi Bank will invest Rs 304 million while Nabil Bank Ltd.
will contribute Rs 294 million.
DCBL will lend the promoters Rs 223 million, Bank of Asia
Rs 178 million, Janata Bank, Nepal SBI Bank and Kumari Bank will contribute Rs 178 million each.
Bank of Kathmandum Siddhartha Bank and Machapuchere Bank
will invest Rs 134 million each and Ace Development Bank
Rs 90 million.
