BODIES TO TWO MISSING SOLDIERS RECOVERED

Kathmandu, 12 Dec.: Bodies of two missing soldiers who went missing on Marshyanghdhi Saturday when a jeep fell into the river was recovered by a a search and rescue tea, Sunday.
The death toll in the jeep accident has soared to three.
Four were injured.

UML STANDING COMMTTEE MEETS

Kathmandu, 12 Dec.: A standing committee meeting of UML leading the caretaker government meets Sunday to set an agenda for a party central committee meet on Tuesday.
NC is trying to wrest leadership of the government from UML.
The standing committee meets amid deep intra-party and inter-party differences with a faction led by Chairman Jhalanath Khanal advocating proximity with Maoists—a move opposed by Caretaker Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and KP Sharma Oli.
Nepal who resigned 30 June hasn’t been replaced yet.

MAOISTS SHUT DOWN THE CAPITAL

Kathmandu, 12 Dec.: Fourteen class organizations affiliated with Maoists disrupted traffic on the streets of the capital for one hour from11 in the morning Sunday.
The move was to force government to withdraw a hike in prices of POL products immediately.
Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) increased prices of diesel and petrol by Rs 3 per liter and Rs 75 per LPG gas cylinder.
RPP-Nepal staged a separate sit-in in front of the office of NOC while 13 student unions delivered a protest memorandum.

DR. BABURAM BHATTARAI URGES STUDENT SUPPORTERS TO BE READY FO REVOLT

Kathmandu, 12 Dec.: Maoist Vice-Chairman Dr, Baburam Bhattarai Sunday asked student supporters to be ready for a revolt toeing a line of Chairman Prachanda who threatened to convert TU campuses into military barracks.
Bhattarai addressed a national convention of the student wing in Kirtipur Sunday; a meeting began Friday.
The student supporters of Maoists are electing a new union executive.
Bhattarai supported Prachanda as other political parties condemned the Maoist threat for a revolt.

ONE SHOT DEASD IN BHAIRAHAWA

Kathmandu, 12 Dec.: An unidentified man was shot dead in front of Narayan Mandir in Bhairahawa Sunday.
The assassin fled amid rising violence in the south.
