MORE DETAILS ON FAILED ATTEMPT TO MURDER YUNIS ANSARI IN PRISON
Kathmandu, 6 April: The government decided to form the judicial commission [headed by former supreme court justice Rajendra Bahadur Bhandari] almost three weeks after the incident [failed attempt by Indian hired killer to murder Yunis Ansari in prison] as investigation being carried out by a senior Superintendent of Police rank official found a close nexus between very high officials of Nepal Police, Charles Shobraj and his Indian accomplices, The Reporter writes.
Some of the inmates and central jail officials authorities have also informed the investigating team that a senior official of the Indian embassy had met Charles Shobraj in the office of a police official inside the jail on December 18 and 19.
Findings so far has also revealed that the Ansari shoot out plot was conscripted in India in a much serious way after the attempt by Shobraj to poison Ansari failed in the past.
On December 25, a high level police officer himself escorted Manmeet and Arvind Kumar to the central jail giving them access to Shobraj.
The duo shuttled between Kathmadu and Delhi more than a dozen times between Dec. 25 and the day of the shoot-out, as per the police record.
Information also suggest that the above police official introduced Manmeet and Arvind as media persons working on a documentary on Charles Shobraj, and gave them access to him.
