Kathmandu, 26 May: More than one dozen RPP-Nepal activists and three policemen were injured Thursday in a clash in front of the constituent assembly hall Thursday as activists attempted to break prohibitory orders around the complex.

“We welcome the decision. Under no circumstance that the assembly tenure be extended following the verdict,” he told supporters in front of the assembly hall.

ENVOYS URGE FLEXIBILITY

Kathmandu, 26 May: Envoys of Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, United Kingdom and the European Union Delegation, Norway, Switzerland, Australia, Japan and the United States Thursday urged flexibility to extend the constituent assembly (CA) again after Saturday.
The call came amid a poll result that announced only 27percent people disapproved another assembly extension.

“We note the intensive discussions of the last few weeks as the political parties seek a consensus to conclude the peace process, the drafting of a democratic, inclusive new Constitution and an extension of the Constituent Assembly,”

“In the remaining hours before the mandate of the Constituent Assembly expires, we urge flexibility by all parties in order to find solutions to the issues which divide them,” they said in a joint statement.
Envoys of EU member states met collectively with Maoist Chairman Prachanda earlier Thursday morning.
