PRESIDENT INVITES TOP LEADERS OF BIG THREE

Kathmandu, 26 May: President Dr.Ram BaranYadav has called leaders of the Big Three for a collective meeting Sunday with only two days remaining for parliament to approve a bll to amend the constitution and extend a constituent assembly tenure for one more year., Shital Niwas sources said.
The president has invited Prime Mnister Jhalanath Khanal, who is also chairman of UML, Maoist Chief Prachanda and NC President Sushil Koirala for a dialogue.
Prachanda and the president held exclusive talks earlier.
The ceremonial has expressed concern with the continuing political deadlock.
But there’s very little he can do to break the current stalemate except cajole leaders to come to an agreement,

SENIOR RAW OFFICIAL IN TOWN IN MIDST OF POLITICAL CRISIS


Kathmandu, 26 May: A senior official of Indian intelligence agency RAW is active in Kathmandu for the last four days at a time when of heightened political activity, Sarohk Raj Adhikari reports in Kantipur.
Special Secretary Alok Joshi, who looks after neighbouring countries ,arrived by a flight from New Delhi Sunday and is staying at a five-star hotel in Lazimpat, a source said.
According to intelligence source, Joshi has met leaders of three big parties, Madeshbadi parties, RPP and RJP.
“From the meetings it’s clear he has come on a political mission. It’s not a coincidence MJFN split one day after his arrival,” a source said.
Another special secretary of RAW also arrived when the MJF first split
MJFL of Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar split and joined the government over a dispute whether or not to join the government of Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal in Baishak 2066.
Joshi has met at least 20 political party leaders.
Former Indian Ambassador KV Rajan alss arrived one week ago.
