NC LAWMAKERS TOLD NOT TO LEAVE TOWN

MORE DETAILS OF THREE- RULING PARTIES’MEET

Kathmandu, 21 May: Three ruling parties—UCPN(Maoist0,UML and MJFN—Saturday decided to develop a work plan for the integration of19,000 plus Maoist former combatants, Surya Thapa, press aide of the prime minister said.
A summit was held Saturday
Following the summit, Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal held consultations with NC Presidnt Sushil Koirala.
The proposal of the parties will be presented by Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal to a special committee for integration, resettlement and supervision he heads
Main opposition NC and other opposition parties have demanded such a plan.

NC LAWMAKERS ASKED NOT TO LEAVE TOWN BEFORE SATURDAY

Kathmandu, 21 May: Main opposition NC issued a whip Saturday ordering its lawmakers not to leave the capital before 28 May—the day the current tenure of constituent assembly (CA) ends without promulgating a constitution for the second time in three years
The transition from traditional monarchy has been long and difficult with Nepal and Nepalis suffering.


MURDER CHARGES AGAINST SIX MAOIST TRADE UNION MEMBERS

Kathmandu, 21 May: Murder charges were filed Friday at Kathmandu district court against six members of a Maoist trade union Annapurna Hotel unit.
The unit’s Chairman Kalpadeep Rai has been charged for attempting to murder unit treasurer Gyanuman Dangol.
Rai is a loyalist while Dangol is close of Vice-chairman Dr, Baburam Bhattarai,
A dispute ages in the party over a complaint by Dr. Bhattarai to government and party his life was threatened.
