FINANCE MINISTER BHARAT MOHAN ADHIKARI PRESENTS DELAYED BUDGET UPDATE
Kathmandu, 15 July: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance MinisterBharat MohanAdhikari Friday presented the delayed budget for fiscal year 2011/12 conceding four demands of five Madeshbadi parties in parliament.
The presentation was delayed four hours as government held discussions with Madeshbadi parties to consider their demands.
The five parties threatened to obstruct budget presentation Thursday forcing government to delay announcement by one day.
Five Madeshbadi parties decided not to obstruct budget presentation before after a written agreement.
Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal signed a commitment to fulfill the demands of the front.
Finance ministry put the budget in its website before budget presentation opposed by main opposition by NC.
Adhikari apologized for the display of the entire budget..
