The talks concluded along with a five-point agreement between the government and the rebels, outlining the task to be completed before the next round of dialogue, Peace Minister Pampha Bhusal said.
As per the five-point agreement, the Government shall withdraw the cases filed against leaders of the Morcha, currently waging an armed struggle, after they hand over weapons to the Government.
"First, they will hand over their weapons and it will follow with the withdrawing of the cases against the Morcha cadres in various districts,” Minister Bhusal said.
The members of the underground outfit called for security arrangement and to treat them as a political force among others.
Talking to journalists following the talks, President of the Morcha, Prahlad Giri or Pawan said the talks failed earlier because the previous government failed to recognize them as a political force. He however expressed the confidence that it would not be repeated this time.
Minister Bhusal was accompanied by Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives, Hari Narayan Yadav and Secretary at the Peace Ministry, Dhana Prasad Sharma. The Front was represented by seven central and district level leaders
