PM KHANAL, SUSHIL KOIRALA MEET

Kathmandu, 12 Aug. Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal and main opposition NC President Sushil Koirala held
political dialogue Friday one day before the threatened resignation of the government chief,
Koirala, in a changed party policy, told Khanal his party was ready to accept the leadership of a successor government by any party, even Maoists, if the peace process was completed before 31 August.
Such a government should be led even by Chairman Prachanda.
But NC should lead a successor government if the two processes aren’t completed by 31 August.
NC previously laid claim to a successor government of Premier Khanal.
Maoist office bearers also meet Friday mid a fluid situation.
The meeting will discus the current political satiation, party strategy and integration of PLA.
A meeting of the Big Three is also being held later Friday to find a breakthrough in a stalemate.

ONE KILLED IN BHAKTAPUR HOUSE COLLAPSE

Kathmandu, 12 Aug.: Sanumaya Rajthala, 40, was killed in a house collapse triggered by heavy rain this week at Sirutar in Bhaktapur.
Three persons were injured.
