SEVEN UNIVERSITY VICE-CHANCELLORS FINALLY APPOINTED
Kathmandu, 8 Aug.: Prof Dr Hira Maharjan and Prof Dr Shiva Hari Marahatta have been appointed Vice-chancellors of Tribhuvan University and Nepal Sanskrit University respectively by Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal.
Their names were recommended by a task force headed by Education Minister Ganga Lal Tuladhar who publicly complained the appointments were delayed by political parties pushing their candidates.
Prof Maheshwor Man Shrestha was nominated vice-chancellor of Purbanchal University, Prof Khagendra Prasad Bhattarai, Pokhara University, Prof Dr Kailash Nath Pyakurel, Agriculture and Forestry University, Dr Jayaraj Awasthim, Far West University and Prof Dr Padam Lal Devkota Mid West University.
