TIA IMMIGRATION OFFICER SENTENCED AND RELEASED ON RS.1 MILLION BAIL FOR TAMPERING WITH DIPLOMATIC PASSPORTS
Kathmandu, 7 Aug.: The Special Court released suspended immigration officer Shyam Babu Bhandari, immigration officer at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), was released by a special court Sunday on a Rs 1 million bail.
Bhandari has been accused for tampering with diplomatic passports of lawmakers Gayatri Sah and Bishwanth Prasad Yadav to enable two persons to fly to Australia on formed passports.
Bhandari helped Sita Sah and Prithvi Chantyal 17 January; they were sent back by Abu Dhabi airport authorities but have escaped.

NC AGAIN OBSTRUCTS PARLIAMENT SESSION

Kathmandu, 7 Aug.: Main opposition NC Sunday continued to obstructed parliamentary proceedings .
The meeting was adjourned until Monday
NC demanded government resign and implementation of a five-point tripartite agreement.
