32 AFTERSHOCKS RECORDED

Kathmandu, 19 Sept.; Thirty-two aftershocks were recorded in Sunday evening’s quake that killed five persons in Nepal, National Seismological Center said.
The aftershocks were recorded until 10 at night.
The quake is the biggest to hit Nepal after 1990.

US ASSISTANT DEFENCE SECRETARY IN TOWN

Kathmandu, 10 Sept.: US Assistant Secretary of Defence Dr James A. Schear arrived Sunday on a four-day visit.
He held discussions with Army Chief Gen Chataman Singh Gurung and other top army officers.
They discussed disaster management, UN peacekeeping; he visited Military Command at Tokha and Military Staff College.
