FURTHER DETAILS OF ROLPA LANDSLIDE
Kathmandu, 17 Sept.: An early morning landslide killed at least seven persons and injured 18 others at Mojhong-1 .Rukum, in the far-West hill district, fresh reports said.
The mudslide is one of the worst this monsoon as the rainy season ends.
Damage is estimated at 50 million rupees.
Eight houses were washed away.
Army and police search and rescue teams have reached the site and are pulling out the dead and injured from the rubble.
Floods, landslide and lightning claimed 303 lives in five months until Wednesday, the home ministry said.

GRANDMOTHER MURDERED IN BANKE
Kathmandu, 17 Sept.: Kailasha, 85, was murdered overnight at a village in Banke overnight.
Suspect Surka Ram has been arrested.
