PM BHATTARAI ASKS BHUTAN TO TAKE BACK REFUGEES, NO POSITIVE RESPONSE

FURTHER DETAILS OF BHATTARAI MEET IN NEW YORK ON SIDELINES OF UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY SESSION

Kathmandu, 22 Sept.: Baburam Bhattarai also held discussions in New York Tuesday with Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakshya.
They discussed joint development of Lumbini, birthplace of The Buddha.
Bhattarai asked Bhutanese Prime Minister Jigme Thinley to take back refugees in camps from east Nepal, Radio Nepal said..
Thinley said refugees should be verified for return, state radio said.

PRACHANDA, SUSHIL KOIRALA MEET

Kathmandu, 22 Sept. Maoist Chairman Prachanda held discussions with NC President Sushil Koirala at the latter’s residence Thursday.
Koirala told the Maoist chief the main opposition won’t act like an opposition in constitution drafting and concluding the peace process.
The main opposition leader urged Maoists to be clear on the clear on peace process for conclusion.
Koirala defended the party central committee decision to disband .
Four fraternal organizations based ona report of the general secretary, he said.

ORIENTAL HOTELS LTD. EARNS RS.81.4 MILLION NET PROFIT

Kathmandu, 22 Sept.: Oriental Hotels Ltd., operator of Radisson Hotel Kathmandu, earned a net Rs.81.4 million profit in fiscal year 2010/11.
Profit increased 20.64 percent from the previous year when it earned a Rs.51.4 million profit.
Total revenue collection in 2010/11 was Rs.603 million.
Two hundred more rooms lare being added, an announcement said.
