SIXTH NATIONAL GAMES IN MAHENDRANAGAR, DHANGADI FROM 26 FEBRUARY

Rs, 5 BILLION US ASSISTANCE
Kathmandu, 30 Sept.: USA Friday gave Nepal an additional USD 65.474 million equivalent to Rs. 5 billion through United States Agency for International Development (USAID) this year under an
ongoing five-year assistance agreement.

Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Lal Shanker Ghimire and
Director of USAID/Nepal David C. Atteberry signed the agreement.

The money will finance activities that help achieve the objectives of President Obama’s three global initiatives—Feed the Future, Global Climate Change and the Global Health Initiative, US Embassy said.
USAID has provided USD 53.938 million through the bilateral agreement.

Kathmandu, 30 Sept.: Sixth national games will be held in Mahendranagar and Dhangadi 26 February to 4 March
2012.
National Sports Council (NSC) announced the date Friday.
