NEPALI SOCCER TEAM DEFEATS CAMBODIA

Kathmandu, 28 Oct.: Nepal´s defeated Cambodia Olympic team 1-0 in a friendly match at the national football team earned a victory in a practice tour beating Cambodian at the National Stadium in the Cambodian capital Phonm Penh Friday.

Substitute Santosh Sahukhala scored the solitary goal.
Nepali national soccer team is preparing for the SAARC regional soccer tournament in New Delhi playing friendly matches in four ASEAN countries.

MECHANICAL CHECKS COMPULSORY BEFORE ROUTE PERMITS

Kathmandu, 28 Oct.: The Ministry of Home Affairs has made it mandatory to carry out the mechanical check of vehicles while issuing route permits and renewing them, RSS reports.

As per its decision made on October 19, the Ministry stated that road repair and expansion and road marking would also be carried out with priority.

The Ministry of Home Affairs took this decision for managing the road traffic in the Kathmandu Valley as per the directive of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

As per the decision, the shops on the footpath would be removed and the Kathmandu Metropolitan City shall oversee the parking management.

Similarly, the passenger vehicles would not be allowed to carry merchandise goods, keep passengers exceeding the seating capacity and the Kathmandu Ring Road would be declared a ‘No-Parking’ zone, according to Ekmani Nepal, Assistant Spokesperson at the Ministry.
