60,000 LALITPUR STUDENTS TO BE VACCONATED AGAINST TYPHOID

Kathmandu, 2 Nov.: Some 60,000 students from Nursery to Grade 12 in all the forty one Village Development Committee (VDCs) of Lalitpur are going to be vaccinated against typhoid, RSS reports from Lalitpur..

For the same purpose, a week-long training for chiefs of all the health posts in the 41 VDCs is scheduled to begin from Monday.

Likewise, 300 health volunteers and principal of some 200 schools in the VDCs are also undergoing training for the campaign.

The vaccination is being carried out with the support of the International Vaccine Institute of South Korea.

Earlier, some 120,000 students of the urban centres of Lalitpur got anti-typhoid vaccine with support of the same Korean institute.
