7-POINT AGREEMENT A CHALLENGE TO IMPLEMENT:UPENDRA YADAV
Kathmandu, 3 Nov.: Madhesi Janadhikar Forum – Nepal (MJF-N) Chairman Uprendra Yadav on Thursday said the recent seven-point agreement reached among the big four political parties was historic, RSS reports from Nepalgunj.
At a press meet organized by the Abadhi Journalists' Association here on Thursday, Chairman Yadav said, "The seven-point agreement had created further challenges to the political parties towards concluding peace process and constitution writing. So, they should take the challenges as an opportunity."
He accused the UCPN-Maoist of not implementing past agreements. So, the implementation of the seven-point deal also depends on the Maoist party, he argued.
However, he said the peace process should not be interpreted only in relation to the integration of the Maoist combatants.
Responding to a query, Chairman Yadav said his party had supported this government from the very beginning and the party would be flexible enough to forge national consensus government.
