SUSHIL KOIRALA REJECTS PM BHATTARAI REQUEST FOR COOPERATION

FURTHER DETAILS OF BHATTARAI GOVT. EXPANSION

Kathmandu, 13 Nov.: The government of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai
is now the largest Nepal’s history.
The Bhattarai cabinet now has 49 members beating a record previously established by NC leader Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Three new state ministers are from Madeshbadi parties.

PM SUSHIL KOIRALA MEET

Kathmandu, 13 Nov.: NC President Sushil Koirala Sunday
rejected a request at a meeting with Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai in a cabinet decision to amnesty a Maoist lawmaker convicted for murder.
They met at the Koirala residence one day after Bhattarai
Maldives where the premier led a Nepali delegation to the 17th
SAARC summit.
Bhattarai sought support saying the murder was political—an argument with which Koirala didn’t agree.
The NC president asked the premier to roll back the cabinet
decision.

PRACHANDA RETURNS; OTHER DETAILS.

Kathmandu, 13 Nov.: Repeated meetings of central
committee of UCPN (Maoist) scheduled for Sunday will now be held Monday after the return home Sunday of Chairman Parchanda from visits of USA and London.
The Maoist chief revealed ‘amnesty was the only way out [for Maoist lawmaker]” when the issue was raised when UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal was premier in the previous government.
Khanal earlier said the issue figured when he was government
chief but he didn’t give approval, like Bhattarai.
‘I’ll talk for a solution,” Prachanda promised.

HIMALAYAN CLUB BEATS INDIA’S SOUTHERN CLUB

Kathmandu, 13 Nov.: Himalayan Sherpa Sunday leat India’s
Southern Club 1-0 on the Inter-club International Tournament to enter the
semi-final.
Himalayan Club will play Nepal Army Tribhuwan Club which
has already qualified for semi-final.
