Kathmandu, 5 Dec.: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattari Monday assured parliament’s public accounts committee (PAC) vacancies in public enterprises will no longer be filled through political appointments with immediate effect.

DEUBA SAYS HE WILL LEAD A NATIONAL GOVT, HEADED BY NC
Kathmandu, 5 Dec.: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has said he would be leading the next government of national consensus. RSS reports from Dandeldhura .
Stating that a national government would be formed within few days under the leadership of the Nepali Congress (NC), he said he would head that government.
Senior leader Deuba said so while speaking at a press conference organized by the Nepal Press Union Baitadi Chapter in Patan on Monday morning.
Asked who would head the national unity government to be led by the Nepali Congress, former Prime Minister Deuba said since the party’s central committee meeting before this had already decided that he would be leading that government, so, he would be heading that government.
He also claimed that the government of the Nepali Congress alone can take the peace and constitution writing to logical conclusion.
Regarding the internal conflict in the party, he said it is the responsibility of the party president Sushil Koirala to accommodate all sides.
Deuba is currently on a tour of the Far-west region, including his home district, Dadeldhura.
