PM CONVENES A MEET OF THE BIG THREE

THREE PARTY SUMMIT

Kathmandu, 26 Dec.: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has
convened a summit of the Big Three Monday for concluding
the after concluding the twin processes of the peace process and constitution have run into fresh roadblocks amid differences and rift in his
own UCPN (Maoist) leading the government with a front of
Madeshbdi parties.
The government has not met conditions of 6 and 7 point agreements with Madeshbadi parties and the two main opposition parties NC
and UML.
Maoists are seeking openings for more than 6,500 former PLA fighters in the Nepal Army opposed by the main parties who are pushing the immediate vacation of cantonments and satellite camps by former
Combatants who have opted for voluntary retirement.

NC PARLIAMETARY PARTY MEET BEGINS

Kathmandu, 26 Dec.: NC parliamentary party meet began to
discuss a federal structure replacing a present unitary state.
The man opposition has proposed seven provincial bodies.
The party hasn’t adopted a final position as yet.
The meeting in the third in a series.
Eighty remaining members are to express their views.
