COUNTRY'S BIGGEST BANK GETS CEO FOR FIRST TIME THROUGH OPEN COMPETITION

RBB GETS NEW CHIEF

Kathmandu, 6 Jan.: Krishna Prasad Sharma has been appointed
CEO of Rashtriya Banijya Bank (RBB).
The commercial bank is the country’s biggest and wholly government owned.
He was appointed through open competition for the first time.

THAI WOMAN SMUGGLES IN FIRST CONSIGNMENT

Kathmandu, 6 Jan.: Suparerat McIntosh, 36, a Thai woman, is the first person to smuggle in a consignment of cocaine into the country Thursday, police said.
She flew in from Peru in South America.
Opium from Afghanistan, India and the Golden Triangle is the
normal hard drug smuggled in and out of Nepal.
