GACHEDHAR HOLDS CONSULTATIONS WITH INDIAN
PREMIER SINGH

Kathmandu, 18 Jan.: Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar
Gachedhar held 45-minute consultations with Indian Prime
Minister Manmonah Singh in New Delhi Wednesday after
Saturday’s Nepal-China top level discussions during Chinese
Prime Minister Wen Jiabao’s four-for transit visit
Wen broke his broke in journey in Kathmandu en route to a
three-nation visit of three Gulf states , including Saudi Arabia
amid a looming international crisis as USA issued warnings to
other states not to buy oil from Iran.
China is emerging as Nepal’s largest aid donor promising to
upgrade the capability of police.
Gachedhar is home minister and defence minister in control of all security agencies
Gachedhar also held discussion with Wednesday with his host
Defence Minister A,K. Anthony as Nepal prepares to purchase arms and ammunition for police.
The deputy premier will hold discussions with Home Minister P.
Chidambaran Thursday, reports fro, the Indian capital said.
Gachedhar met Singh on the second day of a four-day as Nepal also prepares to welcome Premier Singh after Wen.
Singh asked the second ranking government leader to
promote bilateral ties with China and Nepal’s Maoists heading the government, a radio report from the Indian capital said.
