UPDATE ON PREMIER WEN VISIT

Kathmandu, 14 Jan.: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai received Premier Wen when he arrived one hour late at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan
International Airport for a five-hour transit stay breaking a
journey later in the day to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE.
Deputy Prime Ministers Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar and Narayan Kazi Shrestha, ministers and senior officials welcomed Wen at the
airport where Nepal Army presented a guard of honour and a
gun salute.
Eight agreements are being signed, foreign ministry said and a joint statement will be issued before departure.
Bhattarai is holding a luncheon reception at Singha Durbar.

14 HOUR LOAD-SHEDDING FROM MONDAY

Kathmandu, 14 Jan.: Authorities announced a 14-hour load-shedding from Monday with shortage of 60 MW power—an increase of three
hours a day in the peak winter season.
There’ll be 10 hour power cut three days, 12 hours two days and 14 hors thee days.
