PRESIDENT CHARGES CA FOR FAILURE TO INSTITUTIONALIZE ACHIEVENETS
Kathmandu, 19Feb.: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Saturday said the Constituent Assembly (CA) has failed
to institutionalize the achievements of the past political movements, Republica reports.

“This is a win- win situation for both the democrats and republicans. But the Constituent Assembly (CA) which represents 30 million Nepalis has failed to promulgate the new constitution on time,” said Yadav while inaugurating “Madhyamanchal Mahotsav” at Janagal, Kabhre.

Yadav stressed that the new constitution should be drafted within the next three months if the apex court verdict is to be honored.

“The country must move in the right direction. Otherwise, the country will plunge into crisis,” added Yadav.

The president also urged leaders not to make controversial statements. “If there is any dissatisfaction, do express it at meetings and find a solution,” stated Yadav.

He maintained that an integrated Nepal would be a matter of pride for all and that the state be so restructured that all Nepalis may have an equal share in the resources and opportunities available in the country.

The president also expressed concerns over capital flight in the recent days. “Unless we take foreign investors into confidence, they won´t invest in the country,” said Yadav.
