SEVEN CHILDREN INJURED IN EXPLOSION

Kathmandu, 26 Feb.: Seven children and a teenager were injured when an
abandoned sack exploded near a village in Mohottari, Radio Nepal said in an evening broadcast.
One of the children opened the sack which exploded
Children were aged seven to 13 years.
It wasn’t known who left the sack with explosives.

BUDDHIST MONK KUMAR KASHYAP MAHAASTHABIR DEAD

Kathmandu, 26 Feb.: Renowned Buddhist monk Kumar Kashyap Mahaasthabir passed away at the age of 85, on Sunday, RSS reports.

He was the only Nepali monk to be awarded with the Tripitakacharya title.

He was born to Ashtaman Shakya and Chandramaya Shakya in 1983 BS in Palpa. He was forced to go on exile by Rana Prime Minister Juddha Shumsher JBR in 2001 BS.

The monk's body will be kept at Buddha Bihar in Bhrikutimandap for today and at Anandakuti Bihar in Swoyambhu tomorrow.

The last rites will be performed on Tuesday in Swoyambhu.
