BAIDHYA MEETS CHAIRMAN PRACHANDA; REJECTS ESTABLISHMENT DECISION TO RESOLVE PARTY DIFFERENCES THROUGH CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEET

Kathmandu, 21 March: Maoist First Vice-chairman Mohan Baidhya Wednesday rejected Tuesday’s decision of the UCPN (Maoist) to resolve party disputes by convening a central committee meeting where rival iews of top leaders are to be discussed.
Baidhya held discussions with Chairman Prachanda at the latter’s residence and reminded him a previous central committee decision hadn’t been implemented.
Baidya said another central committee won’t resolve intra-party
differences.

GIRL GANG RAPED BY SIX IN DANG
Kathmandu, 21 March: A girl was victimized of a gang rape in Tulsipur of Dang district last night. According to Police-inspector of the Area Police Office, Tulsipur, Madan Thapa, a group of six persons raped the girl in a bus, which was parked at New Bus Park in Tulsipur, around 9:00 pm. All the six persons are helpers of buses.Police had arrested them red-handed from the bus (Na 2 Kha 5591) while they were raping the girl of Tharu Community, RSS reports from Dang.


The girl was walking near the Bus Park at the time.The girl is undergoing treatment at Rapti Zonal Hospital, Tulsipur.Meanwhile, police have made public five persons, who were involved in the gang rape, today.


Subash Oli, 17, of Sankhamul-7, a helper of a bus (Na 2 Kha 5591), Bikas Pun, 16, of Chhaya Chhetra VDC-9, a helper of a bus (Na 3 Kha 2231), Ammar Shrestha, 16, of Khalanga, a helper of a bus (Ra 1 Kha 382), Rabi Nepali, 16, of Chhaya Chhetra VDC-9 and Mohan BK, 15, of Ward No-7, of the same VDC in Salyan district were made public.





A helper of a bus (Na 3 Kha 5549) known as Tiger, who was also involved in the incident, has been absconding. Search for him is underway, said Thapa.



Meanwhile, journalists, human rights activists, representatives of different organizations working in the field of children and women, in the area, demanded action against those involved in the incident with the local administration.
