FIRST REPORT OF SLIGHT DAMAGE IN EAST NEPAL QUAKE

Kathmandu, 28 March: First reports of damage has been reported from the East struck by a quake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale Wednesday morning.
Three houses were damaged in Taplejung ,a district sharing a border with
Sikkim.
Houses and infrastructure were heavily damaged in an earthquake there
in 2011.

NT WITHHOLDS TRANCHE FOR UPPER TAMAKOSHI POWER PROJECT
Kathmandu, 28 March: Nepal Telecom (NT) didn’t release Rs.90 million
as requested by management of Upper Tamakoshi Power Project, Nagarik reports
NT said a project chief hasn’t been appointed yet through open competition.
NT is a member of a consortium of government agencies financing the
construction of the power project.
