OUTLET SUGGESTED TO DISCUSS STATE RESTRUCTURE COMMISSION REPORT
Kathmandu, 13 March: The major political parties have agreed to immediately amend the Constituent Assembly (CA) Rules of Procedure, RSS reports.
The agreement was reached following a discussion held at the initiative of CA Chair Subas Nembang among the senior leaders and whips of the parties.
The regulation is being amended in order to seek out ways to table the report of the state restructuring commission (SRC) before the CA, resolving the contentious issues in the constitution making process and about suspending CA members who are in custody or prison for committing criminal offense.
Talking to reporters following the meeting, CA Chair Nembang said serious and positive discussion was held among the senior leaders of the Maoist, Congress and UML parties on the amendment to the CA Rules of Procedure.
Maoist Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal said an agreement has been reached for the CA Chair to present the SRC's report before the CA after consulting the members of the Committee formed to amend the CA rules of procedure.
It was also agreed to send the contentious issues in the constitution making process, that do not receive a majority in the CA, to the constitutional committee for a consensus, he added.
NC Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Poudel said an agreement has been reached to summon a meeting of the regulations amendment committee and to cooperate in amending the regulations.
UML party whip Bhim Prasad Acharya also said the meeting discussed various issues calling for amendment to the CA rules of procedure including finalizing the report of the SRC among others.

SMALL PARTIES PUSH FOR CONSTITUTION
Kathmandu, 13 March: The meeting of 11 political parties represented in the Constituent Assembly held on Tuesday underscored the immediate army integration as per the comprehensive peace accord and the seven-point agreement, RSS reports.
The meeting held at the Parliamentary Party Office of the Rastriya Janashakti Party in Singha Durbar demanded the big three political parties to take in confidence all parties in the parliament and expedite constitution writing as per the CA calendar.
They expressed grave concerns over the preparation the government was making for constituting another political mechanism in the local bodies in spite of the dissolution of the previous one by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority. They accused the big three parties of imposing authoritarianism with the plan to manupulating the all-party mechanism in local bodies.
The fringe parties were of the stand that the all-party mechanism in the local bodies must have kept intact till the next election as per the provision in the Interim Constitution, 2007.
Similarly, they expressed concern why the big parties were making them just witness of political squabbles at a time they must engrossed in constitution writing and establishment of durable peace.
The meeting was attended by Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani of the Rastriya Janashakti Party, Anil Kumar Jha of Sanghiya Sadbhavana Party, Chandra Bahadur Gurung and Kunti Saha of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, Prem Bahadur Singh of Samajbadi Janata Party, Arjun Thapa of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal, Prativa Rana of Rastrya Prajatantra Party Nepal and Eknath Dhakal of Nepal Pariwar Dal among others.

TWO GIRLS KILLED IN KAPILVASTHU
Kathmandu, 13 March: Two girls were buried to death in Kapilvastu on
Tuesday, RSS reports from Kapilvasthu.
The deceased have been identified as Bimala BK of Niglihawa-2 of Kushma in the district and Manju BK of the same locality, according to the police.
A mound of clay buried the girls while they were collecting mud for the purpose of house works on the bank of west Banganga River. The incident site lies some one kilometer in distance from their locality.
Another girl Jamuna BK, 15 was injured in the incident and she was undergoing treatment at the local United Health Care Center.
